Band of Spiritual Healers and Thinkers

These monthly, informal meeting of members and friends originated from the desire to become more effective practitioners of Christian Science. Attendees read and discuss the Bible, various writings by Mary Baker Eddy, and other books that offer insight and lessons from those who have been the most effective healers. Check the Calendar (above) for the day the meetings are to be held each month, and the topic being discussed.  Everyone is welcome to attend! 
The time for thinkers has come. Truth, independent of doctrines and time-honored systems, knocks at the portal of humanity. Contentment with the past and the cold conventionality of materialism are crumbling away.

Ignorance of God is no longer the steppingstone to faith. The only guarantee of obedience is a right apprehension of Him whom to know aright is Life eternal. Though empires fall, "the Lord shall reign forever."

The theology of Christian Science includes healing the sick. Our Master's first article of faith propounded to his students was healing, and he proved his faith by his works. The ancient Christians were healers.

Monthly Brown Bag 
Dinner Meetings

The first Wednesday of each month, our group meets at the Girl Scouts Center at 6:00 PM, prior to our regular Wednesday evening testimony service. We discuss a variety of topics of interest to our members and guests -  for example outreach, improving the website, current events, serving the community, future plans and inspiration as it relates to our group. Bring something to eat (it doesn't have to be in a brown bag). A soft drink and bottled water vending machine is available. No RSVP is required.

Potluck Meals

Our society occasionally has potluck meals where we gather for fellowship and sharing. Most folks bring a dish, desert or drinks to share. Check the calendar for any upcoming potlucks.

Worldwide Talks

Have you attended our Sunday or Wednesday church service via teleconference, or visited us at our physical location at the Girl Scout Center in Tampa, and would like to hear more about Christian Science? There are Christian Science talks and lectures offered for free in many cities around the world. These talks and lectures are sponsored by local churches, and the speakers are members of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. They are open to the public and provide the newcomer, as well as the seasoned seeker, insight into questions such as What is Christian Science, Who is Mary Baker Eddy, and How can Christian Science help me to grow Spiritward?
